Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product? - Question 7

Personally I feel that if TimeInc or Bauer were to produce my magazine it would most likely be Bauer as the type of magazines that Bauer produce don't reply as much on consumer participation through advertisments etc. Bauer produce Heat magazine but rather than a gossip or fashion magazine I feel my  magazine is similar to Planet Rock and Kerrang! magazine. Bauer produce other magazines such as FHM, Mojo and Empire which do avertise films, music and bands. Bauer focus on select groups of people for example "Zoo" will maily appeal to men, and "Trail" will appeal to adventurous outdoor people. There are other magazines that they produce for select groups, such as people who use transport, bikers, men, women, mothers, gardeners, golfers, and people who have many other hobbies. The music magazines that they produce are Q, Kerrang! and Mojo, which are all magazines that focus on advertising what the reader wants, and the magazines are full of information.
IPC Media - or TimeInc are the UKs biggest consumer magazine, producing magazines such as NME, MBR, and Country Life.
